Project 2
These lever-based controllers were created very early in the program for several different wounded warfighters with finger mobility issues. Their main problems were the ability to move fluidly between the R1 and R2, or L1 and L2 controls. One Marine in particular with nerve damage could not raise his finger from the trigger to the bumper at all. A snap-on lever was added so that a finger on the opposite hand could work the control.Since these were made, these types of modifications have been made more integrated with internally wired buttons mounted to the inside of the controller to allow the opposite hand to work these controls.
